Struggling with Pornography Use?
Break free from the algorithm!
Many men and women struggle with viewing pornography and are wanting to change. Pornography is at first exciting and pleasurable, but as time passes individuals realize that this is something that isn’t healthy. While there are various reasons to not view pornography, the decision to stop and the reasons why are often personal and should be taken seriously.
Finding out your reason why there is a need to stop viewing pornography is something that should be carefully considered and ultimately should be your decision. While other’s may influence your decision, if you’re doing it because your wife or girlfriend, or your parents, or your Church is upset with you then it may become more of a struggle than if it was 100% your own decision. Again, while it’s good to have the support of others, or maybe these other influences helped you realize there is a need to stop, if you’re doing for others and not for you, the changes won’t be long lasting.
It is important to sit down and think of the benefits you will have in your life as you stop viewing pornography. Make a list of the good things that come of it. Use these items on the list that you have identified as your Why. While this is just a starting point, there will be many other steps as you seek to quit viewing pornography.
